Embargoed Areas

To ensure fair competition, the (potential) competition terrain is subject to an embargo.

If you plan to compete, do not enter these areas before the event. This includes:

• No visiting, running, biking, skiing, or hiking in the terrain

• No training or route testing

• No scouting, observing, or “just having a look”

• No use or possession of any orienteering maps of the area (past or present) when in the terrain 

Bottom line: stay out of embargoed areas.
