2027 Canadian Orienteering Festival

Welcome to Whitehorse, Yukon and the 2027 Canadian Orienteering Festival.  The Canadian Orienteering Championships and the Western Canadian Championships will be held over 7 races on 7 different maps, including 2 new areas and 5 revised/expanded maps. Your hosts - the Yukon Orienteering Association - welcomes you to Run the Midnight Sun. The week includes the Sass Peepre Jr Camp, a Learning Summit, Banquet with silent auction and the popular Team Canada Fundraiser.

COF2027 events will take place on the traditional territories of the Carcross Tagish First Nation, Kwanlin Dün First Nation and the Ta’an Kwäch’än Council. We are grateful to compete and celebrate on this land, sharing a small part of its long history with its ancestral stewards. 

Best overall  4 of 5 Individual Races

A points based system for the individual races will be used to determine the overall winner in each class. You will accumulate points (based on time behind the leader) in the sprint, COC middle, COC long, WCOC middle and WCOC long.  Your best four results (in the same class/category) will be used to calculate your total points. All participants (regardless of nationality) are eligible to win. Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
